Media Consent Policy

By agreeing to SciFest’s Media Consent Policy you acknowledge that your school will have parental consent* for the use by third party organisations, such as SciFest CLG and anyone authorised by SciFest CLG, including SciFest’s partners and sponsors, of any photograph/video/sound recording taken of a student while they are participating in, or in relation to their participation in, your SciFest@School fair.

Such photograph/video/sound recording may include the name of the student, title of the project, prize information, name of school, etc., and may be used in print, on the SciFest and partner and sponsor websites, including social media websites, and in related marketing materials, without media or use limitation.

The materials remain the property of SciFest, its partners and sponsors, who may store the photograph, video or sound recording as long as necessary to fulfil these purposes.

Deletion of a photograph/video/sound recording may be requested by emailing SciFest at with appropriate identification. The SciFest Privacy Policy regarding the use of student data may be viewed on the SciFest website

It is understood that SciFest CLG, its partners or sponsors are not obligated to use the photograph/ video/sound recording in any way.

*Students may have provided appropriate permissions at the beginning of the year or on enrolling in the school. Alternatively, they may be asked to complete a SciFest Media Release Form which may be downloaded here.
