First SciFest Best Project Award 2023 Goes to Taha and Njie from Coláiste Chiaráin

The first of the SciFest@College STEM fairs took place in the Technological University of the Shannon, Moylish Campus on 25 April. One hundred and ninty one second-level students from Limerick, Longford and Clare presented ninty seven projects to a panel of judges. Thank you to the students, the teachers, the parents, the judges and last but not least to Dr Pauline Ryan, the SciFest@TUS Moylish coordinator and to her wonderful team of supporters.

Congratulations to Best Project Award winners Taha Njie and Aidan Oscar from Coláiste Chiaráin, Croom and to their teacher and mentor Edel Farrell. The title of their winning project was 'Heart monitor ECG using arduino'.

Judges included Eoin Hayes and Fiona Baxter from Boston Scientific, Marine Raman, Regeneron and Sean Dzokesayi, Luz Contreras Zapata and
Thaynara Nascimento da Silva from Intel Ireland.
