Student Designs a 'Self-Stand Chair' to Assist the Standing Motion for People with Arthritis and Joint Pain

Congratulations to Evan Wynne from Sutton Park School in Dublin who was the winner of the Boston Scientific Medical Devices Award at SciFest@College 2021 in DCU. Evan's project was titled 'Self-Stand Chair' and was entered into the Junior Individual Physical Sciences Category. Congratulations also to his teacher Ms Joanne Hanratty.

In 2014 Boston Scientific joined SciFest as a project partner. A Boston Scientific Medical Devices Grand Award was first presented at the SciFest 2014 National Final. In 2015 and in subsequent years a SciFest@College Medical Devices Award was presented at each of the 16 regional SciFest@College STEM fairs and a Grand Award at the National Final.
