SciFest 2019 Specsavers Making a Difference Grand Award – Travel and accommodation to The Big Bang Science Event, taking place in Birmingham on 14th March 2020

In 2019 Specsavers joined Science Foundation Ireland, Boston Scientific and Intel Ireland as a SciFest project partner. To celebrate the partnership a special award, the ‘Specsavers Making a Difference Award’, was presented at each of the sixteen regional SciFest@College 2019 STEM fairs.
The award was presented to the student/s at each regional venue whose project findings had the best potential to make a difference to the day-to-day lives of an individual or group of people.

At the end of September each of the regional winners of the Specsavers Making a Difference Award were asked to submit their project report book to SciFest. Seven projects from the sixteen submitted were selected by a panel of Specsavers judges to be exhibited at the SciFest 2019 National Final and to compete for the Specsavers Making a Difference Grand award.

The SciFest 2019 National Final will take place on 22 November in the Marino Conference Centre, Drumcondra, Dublin.
