Regeneron ISEF Regional Awards
SciFest is affiliated to the Regeneron International Science and Engineering Fair (ISEF) which is organised by The Society for Science. Each year Regional Award Organisations provide certificates and awards to The Society for Science to distribute to Regeneron ISEF affiliated fairs. Based on judges' scores and criteria provided by each of the regional award organisations these awards are presented each year to students competing in the SciFest National Final.

American Psychological Association (APA) – APA AwardCertificate and a one-year Complimentary Student Membership to the APA.
Awarded to Cathal Barry, Blackwater Community School, Lismore, Co. Waterford for his project ‘Where is the truth: The effects of media propaganda on young people in Ireland’

Ricoh USA, Inc. – Ricoh Sustainable Development Award Certificate and in recognition of the student’s efforts, One Tree Planted will plant 400 trees for biodiversity.
Awarded to Jack Shannon, Clongowes Wood College, Clane, Co. Kildare for his project ‘Ireland’s Carbon Sinks – Remote Sensing for Monitoring Peatland Restoration’

Yale Science and Engineering Association – Most Outstanding Exhibit Certificate from a Grade 11 student in the area of STEM. A formal certificate and a pewter medallion will be mailed to the winner by the end of September 2024.
Awarded to Yasmine Odugbesan, Mercy Secondary School Mounthawk, Mounthawk, Tralee, Co. Kerry for her project ‘A Lycopene Based Sunscreen to Prevent Skin Damage Caused by UV Radiation’.

U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID) – USAID Science Champion Award Certificate to recognise an exceptional project that has the potential to help address a salient international development challenge. The winning individual/team will be invited to join other winners from around the world to participate in a virtual conversation with USAID leaders, to be held in summer 2024.
Awarded to Grace Ní Ifearnáin and Emma Ní Ifearnáin, GaelColáiste Chiarraí Cloon Beg, Tralee, Co. Kerry for their project ‘Designing a home biodigester and monitoring solution to measure safety and efficiency’.
