SciFest and Irish Photonics Integration Centre (IPIC) present an evening of bringing photonics to life. This event is targeted at Leaving Certificate Physics teachers who are keen to gain a greater understanding of photonics and its importance in the modern world. The presentation will include practical demonstrations to assist them in bringing Photonics to life the classroom. The evening will also include a brief guideline to running a SciFest@School fair. Furthermore, participants will have the opportunity to visit a number of photonics research labs, to meet the research scientists and gain an insight into the world-class research being conducted at Tyndall National Institute.
